Only current financial members of the Rooty Hill Chess Club in 2024 are allowed to vote during the Annual General Meeting and nominate for a position on the council.

Clocks start immediately after the 2024/25 Annual General Meeting. Default time when time runs out.
You will be withdrawn from the tournament if you are not present by the default time without a valid reason. To be included back in the draw, you must pay a $10 penalty fee.

Terms and Conditions:
- Entries are only accepted on our website.
- Decisions made by the chief arbiter on the night are final, and no appeals are permitted. (Article 11.10)
- Pairings by Vega using FIDE Approved Baku Acceleration Method.
- July FIDE and June ACF Ratings will be used.
- Half-point byes are only permitted for the tournament’s first two rounds and must be communicated to the arbiter before 7 pm.
- Exceptions to the byes’ policies will only be made at the arbiter’s discretion under special circumstances. The $10 penalty fee will apply each time you do not turn up before the default time without informing the arbiter.
- The draw will be published weekly on Saturday evening on our website, newsletter, and social media platforms.
- Please email byes@rootyhillchessclub.org if you are unable to make it to your game. The club has limited reception, and the arbiter may not receive your text message.
- Players are only eligible for one prize. In the case of a tie, cash prizes will be combined and split equally. The tiebreaks, Direct Encounter, Bucholtz and Bucholtz Cut-1, will be used to determine the 2024 Rooty Hill Blitz Champions in the case of a tie.
- Players not residing in Australia must have a FIDE ID to compete. Players must obtain an ID from their national federation if not listed on the FIDE website.
- As per Article B.3, FIDE Blitz rules will be applied to this tournament.
- Entries close Sunday, June 30th.
- Late entries are an extra $10 for all players.
